Catholicism-Based Wedding - What Are The Rituals For Weddings In The Catholic Tradition?

I'm not catholicism-based, but I know many people who follow the traditions of this religious conviction quite carefully. I admire their dedication, & I think they're magnificent people due to it. There are many things in life that are magnificent in abstract theory, but are not so great in practice. Though a catholicism-based wedding day seems to cover what the faith means to those who attend, I've to say it's lacking a bit. Though who follow this creed are acclimated to the duration of the wedding-ceremony & the christian wedding songs, but for some-one like me, this is something of a shock. One of my dearest friends asked me to be in her catholic wedding, & I had no concept what I was getting into when I agreed. I enjoyed the christian wedding songs, but it was lengthy!

The wedding-ceremony itself is not bad, it's the length of it. It seemed to me that everybody was moving in slow motion, & that did not help. A catholicism-based wedding day is a long affair, but that might not be the case if everybody would just move a little quicker. You can get things done without appearing hurried if you put your brain to it, but it seemed that everybody who was concerned in her catholicism-based wedding day wanted to take their time, including the individuals that sang the christian wedding songs.

The length of the wedding-ceremony was a bit much for me, and the key factor was my choice of shoe. I had to have some-thing with a heel, but I had no concept that I would have to stand up in them for an hour. By the time we were half-way done with the catholic wedding day ceremony, I thought my feet were going to break off. They hurt like crazy, & my dress wasn't lengthy enough for me to glide them off for a little comfort. I noticed many of the other girls in the wedding day were shifting around uncomfortably, and when there were minutes when we could sit, one could hear an audible sigh of release from most of the wedding day party.

Over all, though, the catholicism-based wedding day was beautiful, & I'm happy that my friend & her brand-new husband had the wedding day they wanted, & that every-thing went smoothly. My biggest problem was that I did not know what to expect, and that ought to have been something that I asked as the preparations were being made. She was very aware that we might be awkward, but she was so stressed out that she mentioned this to us much too late. That's ok though, I would do any-thing for her. I will think twice if someone else asks me to be a part of a catholicism-based wedding again though.
