The reality of fashion modeling could absolutely be a drastic shock to your system. What's your take on modeling? Do you despise the business or are jealous of the models? You truly shouldn't. All those skinny girls are only doing what they need to in an effort to meet the designers' demands. They're the ones that make them be SO thin. And then there are the plus-size models. These ladies represent more of what America really looks like. I'm talking size twelve and up. That is probably over half of our country's population. They model the whole thing from lingerie to plus size coats and look beautiful doing it. But still, you do not see these ladies like you view the high fashion slim models. A perfect example is the TV series, "America's Next Top Model." There were 2 plus-size models this season, but one was already sent home. Most likely the other one will probably be sent home as well. As one of the competitors said, "When have you seen a plus-size model on the cover of Vogue?" As sad as this sounds, the girl does have a valid point.
All right, so we've recognized that the business for plus-size models whether modeling plus size coats or swimsuits isn't as impressive as that for high fashion girls. No big shocker there. Although there's quite a demand for plus size coats, swimwear and vocation garments for plus-size ladies. However, if you do want to pursue a job path in modeling and have the chops to do plus-size modeling, then I suggest you send inquiries to the leading agencies on the internet.
