shortwave, CB – - newbie – - what to buy?

I’d like to do some first time experimenting with shortwave radio, CB, that sort of thing -

I’d like a brand/model recommendation – is there a type of transceiver (?) that receives shortwave, as well as AM/FM range and the weird marine frequencies and whatnot etc., that is also a broadcast type (for possible two-way communications)

tabletop type unit is fine, but one that could plug into a car for portable possibility

nothing extravagantly priced, but a good starter unit, and since some use would be somewhat remote, on a farm, some good range/external antenna plug-in thing would be great
