Unfair work conditions?
rose asked:
My brother who is 19 is working at a outside concert venue, here in Tx. He workd a 13hr day w/only 1 brk & no water, is this ok?They put him far away from the venue, no one checked up on him and it is hotter than hell here. No bathroom break and no one came to check up on him. He got no 2 way radio, so anything could have happended to him and no one would have known. No one told him he could leave until an hour later.

I just wanna know can they do that? Is this fair? And does my lil brother have any rights?

He has the right to quit when he wants too.
Bring some water next time. These are odd jobs. I don’t think he can complain.
Yes,he can sue the company for unfair labor practices with a goog labor lawery, they should have not put his life endanger no water no radio an they must have restroom
Boy some turkey’s like “retired army guy’ just burn my ***. Saying sure he has rights and can quite anytime he wants. People with that kind of attitude is why we have so many labor problems both in the USA and here in Canada. My advice to you is take your problem to a “labor relations office in or near your town and file a complaint or at least get some advice from them as to what steps you can take to rectify this situation and perhaps even get compensated for the time owed to your brother. Good luck and best wishes. Mickey
No. Violation of labor laws applies here. You should call your local Department of Labor.
