Hmmm….I imagine the right FREQUENCY would probably be helpful, but if you have the right frequency and your scanner still “don’t do nothing,” then it’s probably doing exactly what it’s supposed to do (double negative equals positive, ya know?!) You won’t hear nothing!
you either entered it wrong, you are not in an area that that frequency is used or there is no radio traffic taking place at that time.
It means that there is A, no activity on that channel or B, you programmed it in wrong.
Generally the police keep their transmissions short. But if its a busy night you might get lucky…
